Bloch Ceramics’ online store on Etsy is now open!
I created a new online store for Bloch Ceramics on international platform Etsy.com.
I just updated my new ceramic collection, including pieces from last wood firing.
I was wood firing my works in an anagama kiln of Glass and Ceramic Center Kuu in Mallusjoki 26.-29.10.2023. The firing lasted around 75 hours and the top temperature rose up to 1300C degrees.
This vase Luno is wheel thrown by hand from stoneware clay. I carved delicate wavy line decorations on the outside of the vase. As a glaze I used a mix of Finnish wild clays and ash of vines grown in my garden. I also added a touch of beach sand that i collected in San-Sebastian. While wood firing the flying ash gathers on the surface, leaving a touch of earthy elegance. With its timeless beauty Luno adds uniqueness to your art collection!
